You get the code from the back of your school photo order form.
Why use the Internet Viewing Code?
Check composition:
- Is the smile the one you want
- how is the hair
- eyes -are they 'facing' in a way that looks good (such as at the camera or, in
rare cases - 'out into space' looks good too) or do they look like they are looking
over the photographer's shoulder
- how are the glasses reflections. Note: It is almost impossible to get rid of ALL
the reflections in glasses without removing the lenses - and we don't do that, you
would have to do that. But we try our best. The "anti-reflectant" coating on many
glasses is the worst - it causes reflections to be directed away from the person
wearing them, it doesn't stop, in fact it creates, reflections going away from the
person wearing them. Typically the 1st pictures have more reflection. We let you
see them all, but generally, the 1st few pictures are used to determine how to minimize
the glare, the later pictures in your set usually are the ones with less glare.
- how is the focus (once
in a very rare while, one of your photos will not be in focus)
- and any other factors
you want to check before ordering your picture.
Cropping:
Starting in 2008, we now crop them before we
put them on the internet, that means
that the full copy WE have of your photos usually has LOTS of space (more picture) around what you see
on the internet. The cropping on the internet is what we plan
to use for 8x10 photos. 5x7's and 4x6's
will be cropped a little narrower (they will have the full height) because they
are a different "aspect ratio". a 8x10 is a 4x5 ratio, whereas a 4x6 is obviously
a 4x6 ratio. If you think we have cropped too close, so not enough of their body
is showing - just indicate "show more body" on your order form and we will recrop
it for you at no charge. Also, if you have
2 or more children that you want cropped similarily and we didn't do that - just
tell us on the order (including all the kids on the same order.) And, if you want LESS body showing, or less space above
their head, just say so as cropping instructions and we will do our best to accomodate
your request.
You may have more than the 3 or 4 photos that are on the order form...Here's how to check..click on VIEW RECENT PHOTOS and enter your Viewing Code.
Note that these photos are copyrighted and displaying them here does not give you
the right to use them for any purpose other than choosing which one you want to
order. If you don't want to pay for a photo - please use your own camera and take
your own photo - that's fair isn't it? And even if you think it is not fair, it
is the legal, moral and ethical option. Using these photos for any other purpose
without written permission of the photographer is in violation of the 8th commandment
- Thou shalt not steal. Thank you.
